Herriman Here We Are!!!

Well we made it. With a lot of help from friends and family, we were able to move everything up to Herriman. While I was packing all the boxes I was amazed at how much stuff we have after just two years of being married! Its crazy! Anyway, we are loving our new place and we really like living in Herriman. Our neighbors are awesome and our ward is so friendly. On our first day at our new ward I was surprised with how many people came up to us and introduced themselves. Sadly I don't remember a lot of their names because our ward is so big, but it was sure nice to feel so welcomed. We love being so close to our families. I don't know if they like having us so close since we can mooch dinner easily but it is nice to spend time with them more often.

Since I haven't started teaching yet I have had a little bit of time to decorate our place and it has been so fun. This place is a lot bigger than our other place so that means lots more to decorate! :) There are still some things I would like to do but overall it feels nice and homey.

Our Bathroom! I love the big tub!
Our crazy shower! There are so many shower heads and
body blasters!

I love this kitchen! In our old place we had probably 1 foot of
counter space and now we have tons! I also love having a dish washer,
no more hand washed dishes!!!

Our family room

I love all the light that we get in this place. So much better
than the dungeon we lived in before.

So the only bad thing about this place is that the wash room
was made for a stackable washer and dryer, which
we don't have, but with a little
jimmy rigging we made it work.
Yes, its just a storage room but I love it!! We have
so much more room than what we had before.

Our Crazy Life

Things in the Millet house have been pretty nuts lately. We are both super busy and are lucky if we get to see each other for more than a couple hours a day. Luckily this madness should hopefully slow down soon when we move, and I settle down into my new job. Yup, that is right, we are moving. I am kind of sad to move because our little Orem basement apartment is where we have made many great memories during the first two years of our marriage, but our Herriman apartment definitely serves as an upgrade. Let me just tell you how excited I am to not have to do dishes by hand anymore. Yay for dish washers! I am also really excited for our huge walk in closet, counter space in the kitchen and I'm sure the jetted tub will serve as a great place to relax after a long day of teaching crazy 3rd graders. Although our new place will be a lot nicer I think I am most excited about being close to family. A 10 minute drive home is a lot better than 45 minutes.

Sadly this fun upgrade still has a few weeks until it happens. Until then we are staying super busy. David wakes up and drives to Riverton where he works full time for Cyprus Credit Union. Once he gets home he goes and studies for the mcat or works on his application for med school. Luckily the studying part is ending soon since he will be taking the mcat June 20th. (Cross your fingers that he does good.) I am so glad I have a hard working, dedicated husband!

As for me I wake up every morning and go to class for 4 to 5 hours. It is really horrible sitting in class and looking out the window at the beautiful sunny weather outside, but I guess its the sacrifice I have to make in order to get done with school faster. After school I go and teach piano or head to Red Lobster. On the side, I am trying to get things ready for my classroom. I still cannot believe I am going to be a teacher. I am super excited but also really nervous. Its amazing how much work it takes to get things set up. Anyway on top of all of this there is always laundry to do, groceries to shop for, and those dang dishes in the sink that you have to wash by hand. haha!

Anyway this is the life of the Millets right now, pure craziness! Although its crazy, its kind of fun. I am enjoying the adventure of our lives and who knows how crazy it will get in the future!
