Let the Holidays Begin!

Holy Cow! I am so ready for school to be over. This semester has been the most time consuming semester I have ever had. The Elementary Education program has been a lot of fun, but I need a break from all the work. David has been swamped too! Luckily in a week finals will be gone and it will be time to party hardy! David and I were able to take some time to enjoy our Thanksgiving though. We were able to spend Thanksgiving with David's dad's family. It has been about 10 years since they have all been together because they all live so far away. David's Aunt Nancy came from New York and his Aunt Mary who I have never met also came from New York. It was great to get to meet them and of course eat Thanksgiving dinner. I even tried out making my first real Thanksgiving pies. They turned out pretty yummy if I do have to say so myself.  I didn't wait long after Thanksgiving to get ready for Christmas. The night of Thanksgiving I went black Friday (more like Gray Thursday) shopping with my mom and Brittany. We got some good deals, I can't wait to give David his presents! The next day David and I decorated house and put up our cute Christmas Tree! I am so excited for finals to be over and to celebrate the holidays with my family!

HaLLoWeeN FuN!!!

Normally I spend my Halloween planning the perfect costume and visiting haunted houses and corn mazes, sadly this year we were a little too busy do the usual, but we did find time for some Halloween Fun!
Dinner and Thriller with Morgan and Mitch
Caramel Apples

Carving Pumpkins

On Halloween we helped my best friend Adrienne get engaged. We all carved
pumpkins and made it competition, boys against girls.
The guys carved pumpkins that said, "will you marry me" and were able to surprise Ade.

So when David and I got married, I decided I was going to start a blog. Sadly after two posts I never posted again. So today I told myself, this time, I'm actually going to keep up on the blog. I wanted something eventful for my first post and decided to wait for something exciting to happen. I jinxed myself and a couple hours later something eventful happened.
Here's the story-
So I decided to be a cute wife and make pumpkin chocolate chips muffins for my hubby. Instead of turning on the oven I accidentally turned on the stove. My cookbook was sitting on the stove (I am sure you can imagine what happened) I walked in the kitchen and there was smoke everywhere and bunt plastic stuck to the oven. The house smelt horrible and lets just say burnt plastic is not the easiest thing to clean up. But after this eventful experience I was able enjoy the season of fall by making some fabulous pumpkin muffins and decorating my house for halloween!
